Your Committee is sure that you are all aware, the country, indeed the world, is in the grips of a particularly nasty pandemic at present - COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
We are concerned that a large proportion of our membership fall within the higher risk categories. Tonight, 16 March, we met to discuss the most appropriate action that we should take considering the risks, government advice and so on.
We have come to the conclusion that is wisest for us to suspend ALL Club meetings with immediate effect. We will, obviously, review the position as things develop but we would expect this suspension to last for at least a month.
This is, however you look at it, a temporary measure. The Club continues and we will update you about this and anything else of interest until we can get back to normal.
In the meantime, we ARE a Club - so, keep modelling. Share with other members what you are doing and the progress you are making on your own projects. We recommend that you join our own Facebook Group if you have not done so already. In that group, and by talking to other Club Members we will continue to be vibrant and supportive of each other in our hobby.
Even if you are not on Facebook, but want to share your achievements let me (webmaster@brmrc.co.uk) know and I will try to ensure they are posted on the Group for you.
For now, happy modelling, we will keep you posted and look forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future.

New Gallery goes live
I am pleased to say that after much testing and, indeed, uploading of photographs by one of our members, our new picture gallery is up and running.
All of the pictures from the old gallery are there in addition to a few new ones. BUT we need lots more. So we welcome members of the public viewing the gallery and, if, indeed, you would like to send us any photos of our layouts or exhibitions (to webmaster@brmrc.co.uk) please feel free to do so.
For members, and this is the big change, so long as you are logged in, you can upload your own photographs into existing galleries or create your own new gallery for your photographs. Peter has tested it thoroughly so you shouldn't have any problems. Once you have uploaded your photographs they won't appear immediately but will have to be authorised by myself or another gallery administrator as a safeguard against spamming and the like.
So, please don't hesitate - enjoy the galleries and upload your own pictures of your layouts, club layouts, our exhibitions, club outings and/or prototypes.

BRMRC Juniors help Network Rail
A team of BRMRC Junior members have built a small model railway for Network Rail to show some of the hazards and dangers associated with railways.
An event was held at Rose Hill School in Bognor Regis for the layout to be presented to Network Rail and they are well pleased with it.
You can see the layout and one of our team of juniors, Callum, talking about it on this video - https://youtu.be/QHGVFtupHrc

We are very proud of our Junior section and this is just one example of why this is the case. They really are the jewel in the crown of an already sparkling club.
